App has said outage for several days, but there is none, features don't work

Folks this is kind of annoying. For 2 days now the app has said that there is an outage because of weather and won't let me access the settings for the WiFi. But there is no outage!  Because of this, i also am unable to speak with an agent through the app. (I can't help but think this might be an intentional error....)  Please help....

@train_wreck I'm sorry to hear of the issues you're having with your App. Our team can certainly help resolve this for you.  Does the website at https://www.xfinity.com/overview does it show the same information? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

Yes the xfinity.com website shows the same thing, yes tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app. Also tried the app on my iPad. All say an outage, up to right now which is like the 3rd or 4th day

Let's take a closer look to see if the interruption is being reflected on your account. If so, we can reach out to one of our local teams to see if we can get it removed but if not, we can troubleshoot your app issues further and if needed, get a ticket submitted. To get started, can you please send us a Direct Message with your first and last name along with the service address on the account?

Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
