Thanks for your message. It sounds like the information is for before the yahoo migration...? I want to remove my comcast.net email completely from yahoo. It has been a nightmare. I cannot send email from my apple mail account on either my laptop or iPhone. I created a new (with same user name) comcast.net email in yahoo-so it isn't that-I called yahoo and xfinity and neither would help me with the issue. Trying to use yahoo is so unprofessional and time consuming. I have to use it in the app and when I scroll is bounces all around so it is difficult to read and time consuming...
user_x98c3x. I completely understand your frustration, and I'm sorry to hear about the experience you've had. To clarify, once a Comcast.net email account has been migrated to Yahoo, we aren't able to reverse that migration or remove the Yahoo platform from the account. The Comcast.net email address remains yours, but the mailbox itself is managed through Yahoo. We also have limited visibility into and support for Yahoo-specific functionality, including issues involving the Yahoo Mail interface, third-party email clients, or account behavior within Yahoo's platform. Those concerns would need to be addressed through Yahoo support. I realize that's not the answer you were hoping for, especially given the challenges you've encountered. We certainly appreciate your feedback regarding the Yahoo experience, but unfortunately, we do not have a way to move the account back to the previous Comcast email system.

The employee's answer is not quite correct.
You can move your email messages to Gmail, but you won't be able to use your Comcast.net address with any provider except Yahoo. Users can't migrate a Comcast.net email address anywhere else because making it work requires behind-the-scenes configuration that only email system operators can do.
Thanks for your message. I find it hard to believe that a technology giant like Xfinity is unable to reverse the migration. I would say it is more likely that the powers that be don't want to do it because they stand to make a ton of money with this deal they signed with Yahoo. They don't care about the experience their loyal clients are having at all. This has created a very frustrating and time consuming situation for me (and it sounds like a large number of others). I will have to learn how to move everything to another provider that offers a professional platform and that will require me to change the email address I have had for over 20 years. We pay upwards of $300/month to the company. Shame on Xfinity.
