I would like to cancel my Xfinity Internet so I can switch to NOW Internet. I want to do it before I am billed again and without any gap in internet.

Good evening @user_6ya3ul, and thank you for reaching out to our Community Forums with your request to cancel internet, so you can switch to NOW Internet. Switching from Xfinity Residential to NOW Internet does require cancelling your current service and then signing up for an XFINITY NOW plan at xfinity.com/now. You must remove all other Xfinity services (except Mobile) first. Before you do so, we're happy to look into current promotions to see if there is anything we can do to reduce your rate, so you don't have to worry about going without service for any period of time. To get started, can you please send us a Direct Message with your first and last name along with the service address on the account?

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

Hello @user_ditfs8 Thanks for reaching out. It really depends on what you signed up for. What deal did you do? Was it our prepaid NOW service or did you sign up for one of our standard packages? What amount got charged?

Prepaid NOW service you will need to reach out to the support chat at https://www.xfinity.com/now for assistance with requesting a refund.

If you signed up for a regular service then most likely the charge was the deposit for service. This charge is automatically refunded within 3-5 business days if you cancelled the order.
