cancelling service appointment

How do I get the service appointment cancelled? Guy at the store scheduled it and told me to call and cancel if I dont need help setting up internet. I no longer need a technician to come home as I set up the device myself. Xfinity assistant thing only gives me an option to reschedule.

I am glad to hear that you were able to set up the equipment and get it activates, that is awesome. If you no longer need your appointment, the easiest way to manage appointments is through the Xfinity app. You can find the instructions here.

@XfinityJeff​ I tried the app and the text message route, but it only gives me the option to reschedule or putting me on waitlist. It does not give me an option to cancel.

Thank you for trying that in the app @user_dkkghl. We can take a look on our end and get that canceled. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?
To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window, please add your full name and address
• Press Enter to send it
