Cancelling Wifi

I literally cannot find any way to simply cancel my wifi online. I'm moving into a place with different wifi and have no need for my xfinity wifi anymore. I would like to not get charged anymore, but all of the customer support is directing customers to use a "chat" button which doesn't exist on my page. How can I cancel my wifi?

lilybrim1 Welcome to our community forum and thank you @EG for moving this post for greater visibility :). You have reached the perfect place to get guidance on closing your WiFi account since you're moving and no longer need it. Please share more details about your internet service so I can give you the best path towards a resolution. Do you have our Prepaid NOW Internet or our residential Xfinity home internet?

NOW services can be managed online through the customer portal. For residential internet, I am happy to help here.

I have your residential Xfinity home internet. I've moved to a place that already has wifi, and I have no need for the service anymore.

lilybrim1 Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forums. I understand you've moved and no longer need your Xfinity home internet, and I'm here to help make that transition smooth for you. To assist you with disconnecting your service, please send me a direct message with your full name and service address. Once I have that, I'll be able to access your account and process your request right away.

To send a "Direct Message":

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (it looks like a text bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list that appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
