Captive Wi-Fi "Welcome to Xfinity" Downlaod the Xfinity app on your mobile..... WHEN TRYING TO CONNECT TO THE WIFI NETWORK
I am a property manager at a condominium community and this comes up at times where one of the renters goes to connect to the wifi of the home that is Xfinity enabled and they get this screen that comes up about how they need to download the Xfinity app on your mobile phone to activate your internet.
This should not be required for a guest to do that is coming in and just wants to connect to the Wifi signal.
Why is this happening ? Do i need to call a special tech support line to get someone to reconfigure this XD8 superfast gateway that we have enabed on a bulk program in our units ?

We had this happen in one other room about 2 months back and we had to call tech support and they 'did something' (not sure what) to have it so that users didn't have to get this "download xfinity" Captive Wif-Fi message come up and it was a painful call that took 45 mins to get it resolved.. so asking what this is caused by and what the best solution is .
