Change my xfinity ID username to something else

What you see is the auto generated forum username. My xfinityID username is what I want to change - the one that is used to login to our xfinity accounts.

@XfinityJon​ Hi, thanks the reply. It looks like, in order for me to create a new one, I would need a new mobile number to tie the new ID to right? There is no way for me to create a new xFinity ID Username right now as it verifies my cell then the address, then it gives me the current info, even when I select it is not me, it keeps looping me back to the current xFinity ID.

Unfortunately, that didn’t work as I don’t have the option to change my <currentusername>@comcast.net email address to a new one. I already set my personal email up as my preferred, but it states clearly that my Comcast email is also my username. How do I change my Comcast email which then in turn changes my username?

You can change your Xfinity username, @user_96jlpi. These steps are in the link I provided. However, you would be unable to change your Comcast email, as we are no longer issuing new Comcast email addresses and the service is being migrated to Yahoo. 

Right, so because of that, I cannot actually change my username. I already selected my personal email as my preferred. Anyone with a Comcast.net email address cannot change their username as the prefix@comcast.net is the xFinity ID username.
