Comcast left a cable above ground in my yard for my neighbors cable

Hi...last Sunday, 5/3/26 a Comcast technician came into my yard to put a cable on the utility pole in my yard. He said he was installing cable for the neighbors behind me. I just noticed he left the cable laying in my yard above ground & going under the fence. This is a hazard. I work for Comcast & that is not right. Someone needs to fix that as I don't want anyone tripping over it or my lawn service running it over.

@ccook0322 Thanks for adding a post to the forum and letting us know. Is the line the tech ran an orange line?

@ccook0322 Thanks for verifying. Those are temporary cables, meaning they'll be removed soon. They're just there for a moment to connect the customer, while they have a line officially connected underground or high above using the local poles. They're orange so that they're easily seen, and usually removed within two business weeks. We can set a reminder to follow up and make sure that window is met. Would you like that?

@ccook0322 Sounds like a plan. We'll follow up here and check in to make sure the line is removed. If you have any questions or concerns on our own service while we wait, let us know. We'll be happy to help. Thanks for being patient while we see it removed, have a pleasant weekend.

They were here yesterday and buried the cable. They did a nice job...can't even tell where it was.
