comcast technician contractor cause damage to my house shingles by yanking the cable sitting in between the shingles on my house

Today's Comcast technician while attempting to replace my internet cable on the exterior side of my house carelessly yanked a cable that was sitting in between shingles above my front door, damaging those shingles. When I called him out, his excuse was that he didn't have a ladder short enough to get to that area. He attempted to fix by straightening the damaged shingles but the damage is visible and left open gaps where bees can lay a nest, a problem one of my neighbors had. The contractor also damaged the structure that support two rails of my stairs, those rails are now wabbly. While replacing the cable with the new one, he also didn't remove the old one from the holder on the side of the house, he just inserted the new one in there. In the end, I came to find out that there was nothing wrong with the cable he was replacing. These damages needs to be corrected by you or if I get a contractor to do the repair I need to be reimbursed. This is completely unacceptable!

Contact me as soon as possible to get these resolved.

Good luck getting any resolution from xfinity comcast on your damage report of shingles being pulled down.  I have been dealing with the same issue since June 12, 2025 and have made numerous phone calls, only to be transferred to every customer service representative and have not received any compensation for the damage that was done to my property.  I have submitted a property damage claim and, again, I've followed up weekly and no one has any idea on what the status of the claim is or whether they received my documents (pictures of the damage, police report and receipt of the payment of over $800. I paid to a contractor to repair.  I had to have it repaired promptly since the forecasted call for rain storms would have damaged the area that was left open by the pulled down shinges.  If you have any luck with resolving your issue, I would be so grateful for any contact information you may have for me to reach a representative who actually knows what they are doing.  Thank you.

They'll be making excuses not to take accountability. That has been my experience. I had been wasting my time dealing with them since July 25, 2025!

So ITG Communication, who investigated the damages caused by the Comcast contractor seemed to have lied about the damages caused to my property and denied the damages claim. They mentioned Google images showed pre-existing damages to my sidings, which isn't true; the images shows no damages at all. They also mentioned the contractor used pre-existing path of the cable they were replacing but the damages  were caused by the contractor yanking the original cables out and he reinstalled new cable using only pre-existing path and hang the new cable on the damaged part of the soffit. They also mention that the Google images also shows pre-existing damages to the stairs, I only had one damage to the stairs and that damaged was not reported in the claim. The contractor caused damages to other areas of the stairs.

This is to say to keep an eye on the contractors sent by Comcast, I don't believe they're trained or vetted to do the work.
