Comcast wire down on College Rd Burlington, MA

  1. A tree has brought down the Xfinity service drop from the utility pole to the house. We need an outside-line/maintenance ticket, not a standard internet troubleshooting appointment. It’s been difficult getting to the right person on the phone.

Hello, @user_irbfua, thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. I completely understand wanting to get the downed line repaired, and wanted to help get the proper expectations set up that if service is affected by the downed line a standard technician appointment is scheduled first and then that technician creates the secondary work request.

- Are your services affected?

From experience, I've also seen that if the line is still underneath the fallen tree that typically needs to be removed first as that is something the technician wouldn't remove themselves.

- Is the downed tree still covering the downed line?

We do have this helpful reporting website for line concerns, it opens a ticket for our dispatch experts to create a special request order for the line work:

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/report-an-issue

- Have you by chance reported the concern here?
