Complaint regarding dirty defective equipment
I ordered an "upgrade" replacement box from my television. It was sent via UPS. I wasted a day yesterday waiting for the delivery, it finally arrived after 6 pm. When I unpacked the "NEW" equipment I could readily see it was not NEW. It was also dirty. I followed the 4 simple directions to hook up the new equipment. It did not work. I spent the next almost 3 hours with three different Xfinity assist people trying to "resolve the issue" I kept insisting that the equipment was defective while they insisted, they could "fix it". They finally agreed that I needed a replacement to the "NEW" equipment.
Today I had to drive to the local office and exchange the equipment. Upon arriving home and unpacking the "NEW" equipment I found it so dirty I had to use a cleaning product to be able to handle it. It did however install quickly and easily. So far it is still working.
I have been a long-time customer for both internet and telephone service. I was so disgusted and disappointed with this latest extremely time-consuming fiasco that I am seriously considering changing all of my service. The waste of over 8 hours of my time, the disgusting quality of the "new" equipment and having to drive across town to get what I should have received is simply not acceptable service.
I would like to know what Xfinity intends to do regarding my complete dissatisfaction with this interaction. I will wait to hear your response before making any decisions regarding my continued [patronage.

Good morning @user_qc5fot, and thank you for using the Xfinity Forums to bring this issue to our attention. I understand your frustration about the issue with the boxes you received. I am glad that the one you picked up from the store is functioning correctly and that you are able to access the cable services from the box. With most equipment, when you receive a replacement either in the mail or at the store, they are previously used equipment, especially for equipment that has been in circulation for a while, but they should be cleaned before being reassigned.
