CONSTANT OUTAGES

My internet has been going out at least once every 1-2 weeks for the past YEAR (maybe longer) because of "outages in my area". It's completely ridiculous and very frustrating as I work from home. Sometimes these outages can last from 2 to 3 hours. Why is it so difficult to find out the cause and get this fixed permanently? The internet is great when it's on, but with the constant outages, I'm seriously considering switching to a better provider.

Mctaylor2342 Thanks for posting on our Community Forums. There are several factors that can cause signal drops or degradation, so I apologize that we wouldn't be able to advise why this continues to happen. When you lose your singla, have you checked if it is reported as an area issue through the Xfinity app? Just to see if there are issues with the network in your area, or if it may be more isolated to your home.

@XfinityThomasD As I said, it's outages in my area. And it's constant.

It seems like they're putting a band-aid on the problem rather than taking the time and resources to actually fix it.

I've had other providers and this is not normal.

Our team can help check the signal health to see if there is anything else that may be causing some trouble as well. if you'd like, please send our team a direct message with your full name and address.
