Customer Service Complaint
Mother nature is the culprit behind my service outage. I have no control with that scenario, however the customer support that followed is absolutely horrendous.
I filed an outage report the next day (Saturday) and was provided a repair date 7 days out. I of course was not thrilled with the extended wait period.
But to my surprise, an Xfinity/ Comcast truck was on my street two hours later. I engaged the tech in conversation, explained my outage and possible equipment needs. His response, “I’ll come to your house as soon as I’m done, give me ten minutes.
Four hours later, he’s a no show and remains so. I’ve been through every automated option available and ONLY spoke with a human being when I pushed the End My Service option.
That dude was a straight jerk, told me my new repair date was now 12 days out and hung up on me after asking how the company could send a tech on a weekend, fix the four houses adjacent, leave me high and dry and then change my service date.
I know I sound like a complete fool for whining on a forum, but this is ridiculous. We pay top dollar for the service and only want that service active.
I hope someone high enough up the chain reads this, because as soon as the competition is able to complete their construction and install, I’m leaving Xfinity in the dark…5 years a customer and it ends like this.

Thank you for reaching out here @user_2t0amh. That is certainly not the experience we would like you to have, and I will be happy to take a look at that issue from here for you. Could you send me a direct message with the full name and complete address for your service?
To send a direct message [private message]:
Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
