Customer Service is a Joke

My internet went out.

First was connected to a representative through the online chat feature. This person was short, condescending and rude. They had me repeat steps several times - told me to check cable connections were tight at least 3 times. Minutes after asking the previous time. After telling me the issue was with cables outside, I was told I needed an appointment for a technician to come out. The representative then told me that they could not schedule it and I would have to do so myself. After I said that was ridiculous that support could not schedule a solution, they were magically able to schedule an appointment - sent me multiple texts of the exact same "prep" for an appointment and scheduled it for 4 days out. Then tried offering me a mobile package for my troubles.

I was then called later in the evening by another representative who apparently ran more tests on their end and said they could not fix the issue. There was no issue with this gentleman.

My appointment was scheduled between 10am-12pm.  I confirmed it the morning of through texts after receiving the text to do so. After 12pm came and gone, I texted the number to confirm the appointment was still there. Which told me there were no scheduled appointments on my account.

I then called support. The woman, told me I had an appointment scheduled and kept confirming the date and time as "tomorrow" but the date was for the day of the call. She said she could find no further detail, but that someone would be out at some point and agreed that I had to cancel all plans for my day as someone could come out within the next few minutes or 4 hours from then. She was rude and continued to try to speak over me multiple times.

When I asked to speak with a supervisor to ask if they could contact the technician or dispatch to narrow down the window frame of "any time" - I was put on hold for over an hour.

Logging into the online portal through my account, I can see no appointment listed. Based on this entire experience, I would not recommend xfinity to any one - and would certainly not reccomend or promote their customer service department - as there has still been no solution nor do I have working internet.

After that, I called customer service again. I was told the appointment had been moved and someone would be coming at 2:10pm.  At 3:45pm, I called again asking if someone were going to come out or not. I had things I needed to take care of and could not leave as someone could come "any minute"

Eventually, after 4pm, a technician came out. Was unable to restore internet and said that I'd have to contact someone else. That was said to me at 5:26pm.  I waited from 10am until 5:30pm just to be told I needed to contact someone else and to not have services restored.

What an exhilarating ride it was to be [Edited: Profanity] and have zero solution.

I was told that I would have to contact my apartment complex.

I called the complex, they told me I am already paying for the service through them, if it is not working to contact xfinity.

I called customer service again and he told me that all I had to do was use the app to register the existing modem.

That was it. Something that took me 30 seconds in the app to fix. But not a single person I talked to the two days prior had a solution or even suggested this. They just said they couldn't fix the issue and passed me to someone else.

Ridiculous.

We can see if there is anything we can do remotely to assist, but sounds like you may need to enroll and activate an account @user_hwwic5. Please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, clicking on the pen and paper icon, and then entering “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full first/last name and complete service address (Including the city, state, and zip code), and I'll be happy to help.
