Damage Claim - Xfinity cut through sprinkler water line and communication line during coax burial
Xfinity opted to bury the coax line within conduit in my yard on 6/26. I had called them the prior week to inform them of my sprinkler system and to not bury the cable across the center of the yard. I told them to follow the fence line. However, the technician informed me that he felt the best route was diagonally across my yard, where he cut through several sprinkler lines as well as the communications cable to operate the sprinkler system. The technician attempted to repair it after the holes drained of water. After he left, the sprinkler lines are all still damaged and water sprays out of the cuts in the yard he had made. None of the sprinkler heads spray water as the lines are completely cut. To see if the sprinkler lines could hold pressure, I can only open the sprinkler valves manually as the communication cables are still cut somewhere in the ground. When I open the valves, water sprays up from the cuts in the ground.
Since the incident, I have contacted Xfinity via the Xfinity Assistant where I chatted with several different individuals, I have called a few times, only to have everyone more or less tell me that someone will contact me in the next day or so. None of that happened. I just talked with a person today and was told it would take 1-2 months before I hear anything because these things take time.
Xfinity made the decision to bury the line across my yard, against my warnings, cut through my sprinkler lines, and now is having me hold for 1-2 months while they seek approval to repair the damage that they caused.
Seems a bit unreasonable, no?
