Debt collector after closing

I cancelled my service after switching providers, and all equipment was marked as non-returnable at the time. My account should have been fully settled, but I’m now receiving collection calls from Sunrise Credit Services for a balance I was never notified about.

I’ve confirmed with Comcast that my account was paid and closed correctly, so this collection activity appears to be an error. Please contact Sunrise Credit Services to confirm the debt is cleared and recalled, and ensure they stop contacting me and remove any related entry from my credit report.

Thank you for addressing this matter promptly.

user_ar7fag, Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to reach out. We surely will miss your business. As someone who understands the importance of not being sent to collections, I can understand the inconvenience caused when you receive collection calls on a settled account. You've reached the right place. Our team of experts is dedicated to resolving billing concerns over social media. We can help. Would you mind confirming how the equipment was marked as non-returnable at the time? Was this done at an XFINITY store? Was the equipment damaged by a natural disaster?

user_ar7fag, Thanks for sending over that screenshot about NOW Internet subscribers not having to return the internet equipment. You should definitely not be receiving those collection calls if you're a NOW internet subscriber. I would like to research this further on my end. To further assist, please send us a direct message with your first/last name and full address. You can start by clicking the "direct message" icon in the upper right page of our forum page. Once you click on that, input our shared handle Xfinity Support to send us a direct message.
