Disney Plus Freezing During Adds

We continue to have an issue when trying to access Disney+ through the Xfinity box.  You can start watching the show and when you get to the ad, the show freezes and won't all you to continue watching.  We have gone to the local Xfinity store and exchanged boxes and was given a XG2v2-P box (the same box) and have the same problem.  We have also gone into the local stored data on the box and cleared that data.  We re-signed back into the app and the issue continues.  There is no issues with the TV channels or Peacock.

From my research, this is a common item that is addressed by updating the box.  the Xfinity Assistant is trying to set up a tech visit that will then have a fee charged and I am trying to avoid that for a service that should be working...i shouldn't have to pay to fix a broken.

Please fix this Disney+ issue. It is so irritating and frustrating. It feels like you guys aren’t doing anything to troubleshoot the issue. I’ve reset my boxes a a few times and even decided to get new ones to replace the ones I already had to see what fix it, and nothing works 😡

I have the exact same problem as well with our Xfinity X1 boxes. Please Xfinity fix this problem. It is absolutely ridiculous and irritating.  I’ve contacted agents time and time again and it feels like nothing has been fixed.

Can you please get in contact with Disney+ and tell them to fix this problem with you. Because Hulu, which is owned by Disney works fine, Netflix is fine, Prime Video is fine, Peacock is fine, etc.… But not Disney+. so it’s not necessarily an Xfinity problem that is going on with you guys entirely, It’s a Disney+ with Xfinity problem

Do you have the ads freeze with Hulu?

No not at all with Hulu. Not even Netflix, Peacock, Prime Video, etc.…

Just Disney+ alone. Hulu and Disney+ are completely separate apps for me. They’re not on a bundle. So this is an absolute Disney+ with/through Xfinity problem

Thanks for confirming Doug_1994! We're more than happy to continue working with you in direct messaging and possibly see if getting an updated box sent your way might help.
