Documentation wrong

http://xfinity.com/support/articles/set-up-parental-controls-with-comcast-networking says I can visit 10.0.0.1 to add parental controls. But you folks broke that website. Please fix your documentation

Hi there, @user_p92tr9! Thanks for reaching out about parental controls. We are happy to further assist you with this. Are you unable to login to the network admin tool or what error are you seeing when you visit?

I'm having a similar problem.  In order to access the Admin Tool, your directions say to enter http://10.0.0.1.  That DOES NOT take you to the admin tool.  It takes you to a screen that says you should download the Xfinity app.  But your directions for the Xfinity app is also incorrect.  How do I access the Admin Tool?

Hello @user_hl8iba, thank you for your comment. In order to access the admin tool, you would first need to toggle on the Allow Admin Tool access in the Xfinity app. If you need to access the Admin Tool, use the following instructions to enable access. Visit the Wi-Fi tab in the Xfinity app. Select View Wi-Fi equipment and open Advanced settings. Scroll down and select the Gateway admin tool, then Select Admin Tool online access. Slide the toggle button to Allow Admin Tool access. Select Save.

If you are enabling access for the first time, you will be taken to a screen to set up a new password to access the admin tool. Enter your new password and select Save. Visit http://10.0.0.1 while connected to your Wi-Fi at home.  Username: admin Password: Use the new password created when you enabled access. Users who enabled access prior to February 2026 may still use the default password found on the sticker on the bottom of your Xfinity Wi-Fi Gateway. When you’re done accessing the Admin Tool, disable the Admin Tool access. Slide the toggle button to turn off Admin Tool access in the Xfinity app. Please let me know if you run into any issues.
