Email sorting

I have been trying in vain to reach a real person for help and all I do is go around in circles in virtual assistant purgatory because my question does not fit the boxes for AI.

i need someone to allow my sort function in email to go longer than the allowed 20 seconds so that I can sort my emails by from instead of date.  I want to delete emails but not one by one. Sorting by from allows me to delete in mass.

Thank you for clarifying, @dm_1234. What happens when you try to sort by "From:"? You mentioned something about 20 seconds. Does it only sort emails for 20 seconds before stopping, or do you receive an error saying it took longer than 20 seconds to respond? Have you tried searching by the "From:" name to see if you could delete emails that way, by any chance?

I’ve tried sorting by from but get an error message after about 15 seconds.

when I do a search it will give me only emails before May 15.

@dm_1234 This is a limitation of email on web browsers. Only so much data can be pulled at once. The type of functionality you are looking for is better done through an email client that can save the emails on your device instead of temporarily downloading it every time. I personally use email filters and rules to help me organize my emails proactively. This allows me to sort and manage it in chunks. Otherwise, you are putting too much of a strain on your connection to the server.
