EPON Fiber: Switch to Personal Router and Remove Gateway (COAM)
I am an EPON fiber customer looking to transition to the Member-Owned Router program/Customer-Owned Equipment (COAM). I want to completely remove my Xfinity Gateway and connect my retail Ethernet router directly to the ONU.
Please have a digital care representative help me push the updated ONU boot file to disable MACsec and update my billing profile.

I have power cycled the onu leaving it off for over 10 minutes and disconnected the xfinity gateway. It is only connected to the fiber drop for the EPON link and a cat6 cable to the 10G port on my ubiquiti equipment.
