Exchange Xfinity NOW modem

How do I get a new working modem for Xfinity NOW?

The technician was at my place this morning and confirmed my modem was broken but didn't have replacements. (He didn't even really seem to understand the Xfinity NOW program.)

Xfinity retail locations will not swap it out and I don't think you can use your own modem with the NOW service.

I'm going on Day 2. Please help!

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_sd6ab2 Now service support is limited to the Xfinity Assistant online portal. We don't have access to NOW accounts, and you would need to use the Assistant to request a replacement.

The problem is you can't. It just takes you though the same problem solving steps then tries to set an appointment for a technician. The technicians don't have any replacement modems for the prepaid Xfinity NOW.

I had to sign up for regular Xfinity. Faster speeds for the same, or even lower, price. Xfinity NOW is very poorly supported. You can't speak with anyone so it's hard to get your issue solved.  If anyone is having this same problem I would recommend to join regular Xfinity or you will have to buy another Xfinity modem somehow. (maybe ask a retail location) You can't buy your own modem with Xfinity NOW like you can with the regular service.

All replacement modems for NOW are shipped through the support chat. Techs only handle the postpaid accounts. Sorry we could not be of more assistance.
