This has finally been taken care of.  An Xfinity tech came by Monday and set it up to be done.  He also advised that the old cable line was a temporary line, which is why it wasn't buried too deep.   I was never told 2 years ago that it was a temporary line.  Another Xfinity person came by, buried the new cable line and after he was gone, I saw the old line was still in my yard sticking out a couple feet posing a hazard. I put in another request for someone to come back to remove the old line.   Never saw anyone, but while in my yard today I noticed the old line was removed.

Started working on this Sept 19th,  and as of today, Oct 17th, I can finally say case closed after almost a month.
