Existing legacy internet customer — need help moving to unlimited plan
Hello. I'm an existing Xfinity 2 Gig Internet customer and my account is still on a legacy plan with the 1.2 TB monthly data cap (as well as Xfinity X1 and Home Security).
I understand that Xfinity's current Internet plans include unlimited data. I'd like to migrate my account to the equivalent or similar unlimited data plan and use my existing equipment (an Arris S34 modem and Unifi Dream Router 7 with mesh network) and Xfinity TV and Home Security for the same or close to what I'm paying now. I don't need the Xfinity gateway. My network runs on old Cat5 cable and wired speeds top out at about 1Gb/second so I don't really need the 2Gb speed. Is this possible? I have called in to Xfinity a couple times and the agents more or less tell me that it can't be done. I've been an Xfinity customer for over two decades and you've always been able to help me in the past.
Can an Xfinity representative please help me review the current unlimited plans available for my account, including any available promotions?
Thank you for your time.
Jim
