Exterior Cable/Hardware Removal

We've moved to a new house and no longer have Xfinity service, however there is a Comcast cable coming off the street attached to the siding of our house. We are in the process of replacing our siding and need to know how to safely remove these Comcast cables.

user_f3ypmz Thank you for reaching out and asking. Typcially they can be removed by yourself if you desire You can cut and remove the cable on your property, as long as it's not part of the active utility infrastructure.
Coaxial cables are low voltage and generally safe to cut, but avoid cutting near power lines or shared conduits.
Use insulated tools, wear gloves and safety glasses, and seal any holes left in the siding with caulk or foam to prevent water or pest intrusion, or we can put in a request to have a tech come out and remove it. Please feel free to send us your full name and the complete address via our DM.
