Getting a replacement box for new apartment after roach infestation

I moved into an apartment with a roach infestation a few months ago and will be moving into a new one soon. Due to the potential of my current Xfinity internet box having eggs and/or live roaches, I wanted to know how I could get a new internet box and what to do with the current one.

Hello user_2ftqe3 thanks so much for reaching out here on our Xfinity Forums! Returning a defective piece of Xfinity equipment can be done quickly and easily by visiting one of our local stores. Our Xfinity Store Locator makes this a simple process, as you can set up a free visit anytime during operating hours.

The issue isn't that the box is defective, it's that it may have roaches in it because of a current infestation. Should I take a potentially infested internet box to the store?

Yes you can take the box to the store @user_2ftqe3 I would suggest that you double bag the box and seal it and just make the employees aware of the situation, so they can handle it properly.
