How do I reach a live person

I've just waisted the last hour of my life trying to reach a live person. The AI chatbox is completely useless. I wanted help with changing my mobile number from a different xfinity account that belongs to my parents to my own xfinity account, and it won't let me do it. If I can't speak with someone soon, I'm going to cancel my new internet account and move to another provider.

user_n9p7t9 I get it, time is valuable, so I would be feeling the same if I were in your shoes too. Our team is happy to help you and provide the correct resolution. To get started please send us a DM with as much details as possible such as your full name addresses phone numbers etc.

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or visit Xfinity Direct Messaging.
  3. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.

I'm attaching a new device to my wi-fi but my password isn't working. Thing is I used to be good at this stuff. Even designing front ends that work. Anyway I tracked it down someplace - my TV - same password, doesn't work. I tried creating a new one, although a lot of devices will need to be switched over. Nope. To get help you need to sign in, er, bit of a problem there. I change passwords on other thing recently. Tried that one. Some place or another didn't even recognize my address. The 'customer support' person, usually you have very good ones, this one I should write up. She was the only human being I found and pretty much wore me out.

New tablet, need to connect it to the internet. There's something strange going on with my password, working in the usual places, not working when on exfinity. I've even checked something with automatic log in and it's the same password. At the moment only the tablet matters.

I need someone on the who knows what they're doing and will talk me through this. Talk, because none of the written suggestions work.

I'll add that I'm begging: Someone scheduled what's going to be a really ugly meeting on Friday, the 4th. I'd like to get everything I need onto the tablet by Wednesday, Thursday at the latest, so if I need a fact it's right there instead of googling.

that it's soon, Wedensay or Thursday.

EKovar1964 Welcome to our community forum! Thank you for reaching out so we can make sure you're able to get your iPad connected to your home network before your important meeting on Thursday. When you reach out to us here, we keep the conversation on this platform so we both have documentation of everything discussed. If you prefer to speak over the phone, you can call 1-800-934-6489 and one of our knowledgeable agents will be happy to help.

If you prefer to work with me here, please "forget" the network in your iPad's WiFi settings, then attempt to reconnect. Is the password working after trying that step?
