How to get technician to show up

I flew across country for an appointment today. The technician did not show, and Xfinity had the nerve to say I never had an appointment despite the constant text messages I received showing his status update.

i was rescheduled for almost a week later. Absolutely atrocious experience. How do I avoid having a flakey technician this next time? You cost me $1,400 x 2 = $2,800 in plane tickets!!

@XfinityThomasA I've chatted with so many agents to get an underground cable installed. Promised a technician at least 5 times and no one shows or calls.  What gives? BTW. There is no direct message box here!
