I canceled my wifi last month and received a bill for this month

I called and canceled all of my services on September 30th. I called back again a few days later because it didn't seem it was actually canceled yet when I would check my app and there was a bill for October. The woman on the phone said she can't cancel my bill for October but I would be refunded for the bill. How and when am I receiving this refund? I don't want to pay the bill with the chance it may never be refunded. I shouldn't have to pay for an extra month when I canceled in time.

I do understand that the final billing can be a bit confusing since we do bill one month in advanced. Depending on your billing dates, you may see a bill for October as we do bill a month in advanced. If the account after everything is finalized and finished, which typically takes 30 days. If a refund is due, you would receive an email on how to receive your funds and redeem the overpayment. You can find all the details here.
