I have never had a good experiencing setting up an xfinity account
I have used xfinity now several times and have literally never had a good experience with setting up an internet service. I’m at the point where I’m wondering if xfinity does this on purpose. Unfortunately for me Xfinity is the only option available when I have to use them. Currently, I am trying to set up a new internet service with an Xfinity gateway that my apartment has pre-installed in the unit and guess what? xfinity can’t locate the MAC address of the gateway in their system. Even though it’s the only MAC address of the gateway here. I’m almost to the point where I feel gaslighted . Don’t get me wrong the customer service rep is polite and seems to be doing their best but what is going wrong with Xfinity that setting up an equipment they own for a service they provide via their customer service proves to be so difficult?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to post in our community. I am sorry to hear that you haven't been able to get online yet. That should definitely be more simple than the experience you described. I would love the opportunity to help you get your equipment online. Can I get you to send a DM to Xfinity Support with your full name and address, so I can get working on this right away? Thank you!
