I need contact information

Trees that were not on my property were cut down because they were laying on the line for over a year. They were so low that we would get stuck on the pine branches if you didn't duck down enough while mowing. I had notified our local comm center, who had sent a message in April 2024. Without anyone notifying us that the trees would be cut down, there were people in our yard taking care of the problem. Yay! Not... The trees are now on my property, laying on my flower garden for months. My husband and I are disabled, and can't afford to hire anyone to remove the HUGE trees. They are covering a corner of our property and a flower bed. In previous years when companies would cut down trees to prevent trees on lines, the trees would be removed from people's property. The company would simply roll them on the bank, just feet away from where it now lays, or give us the option to keep the wood. We were given no options, nor the common courtesy of notifying us that they would be here. If we thought that they wouldn't be removing the HUGE mess, we would have spoken with them when they were here. This is unacceptable, and I wouldn't think it is legal, considering the trees were not on our property. Does anyone know who/how to contact anyone about this? I greatly appreciate your assistance!

Hi there, @user_070fia! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. Usually tree trimming is done by the property owner or the municipality, not XFINITY. Was there an indication this was specifically done for cable lines exclusively?

I contacted our township, PennDot, PP&L, and Verizon. None of them cut down the trees. I also called local tree companies, who were not contracted to cut down the trees. I showed a video and pictures of the truck that was used to one of my township supervisors. He also works for a local tree company. He was certain that the lift truck used was a Comcast/Xfinity vehicle.

So, are you 100% denying that Comcast/Xfinity cut down the trees that are laying in my front yard? If so, I will need to hire an attorney or something. It's just unacceptable.

Yes I am confirming that it was not Xfinity that cut the tree. Due to liability we are not able to assist with any landscape maintenance. If a tree actually takes our line down then we would make a line repair without making any modifications to the tree. Xfinity will make modifications to the line as needed if it is interrupting services, but we will not remove or cut down any trees.
