Initial setup-xfinity modem blinking orange

Hello! I am new to xfinity and was trying to get this wifi setup in our home we just moved into. I followed the instructions provided with the modem and cables sent to me, but every time my router blinks orange indefinitely. I have tried every coax outlet in the home (4 total), I have tried resetting the unit/unplugging, and even a different coax cable.  The coax outlets are in open areas on the top floor of the home, so I don't think it is a connection issue there. From what I have found on this page and research, it sounds like the xfinity line may be off at the road? Can I get this turned on remotely or is this something I can connect myself? Not really wanting to wait 3 or 4 days for a service person to come out, and they are only available when I am at work. Thank you!

Sorry to hear about the activation trouble, but from what you've described and the troubleshooting you've done, it does sound like you have no signal in the home. That would in fact require a tech visit to complete the installation. We can check to make sure that is the case and get you an appointment set up. Please send a direct message to us by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full name and complete street address.
