Installing new gateway

Hi, I received my new Gateway internet. I have disconnected the old one and plugged in the new one. I have attached the coax cable to the tv and the modem. 

is that incorrect? I’m getting flashing white lights, but still have no connection.

please help!

user_wobfpr Thank you so much for your post for help with setting up your new gateway. The box should have also contained a card with instructions, including how to use the Xfinity app to complete your activation. Have you checked out your new modem in the app already and completed the activation there?

I haven't hooked it up yet.  It looks expensive, so I'm trying to find out if I will be charged a monthly fee for it.  My current gateway falls under our condo bulk agreement and there is no fee to me.

user_7kzzc9 Thanks for the response! You should be able to just plug it in and use it. Our equipment is simple and fast, try it out and let us know if you have any issues. If you would like we are happy to take a look into the account to answer any questions about being charged.
