Intermittent Internet and unable to send a direct message to Xfinity Support
Like many others, I have intermittent internet outages multiple times a day for hours at a time. The Xfinity chatbot was a failure to try to get an appointment scheduled and I can't find anywhere the option to send a direct message any longer. How do I contact someone to get a technician out?
I have replaced my own modem with a Comcast modem. Two days previous to this, a technician was out due to a 5 day TV outage after a power outage killed the TV box. Then the internet outages started. I suspect it could be one or more of the splitters but the Xfinity Bot does not understand this and loops me through the same troubleshooting steps and then says the internet signal seems fine. Has Xfinity dropped the ability to direct message? When I go to a link Xfinity posted in another question on how to direct message support, it no longer works. I can't begin to tell you how frustrating this process is. Meanwhile, a new company is lining the neighborhood with fiber optics as I type this. Hmm.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
