Internet offer and iPad

I was offered to redo my current plan to keep my same 2000mbps speed, a new XB8 modem and a free iPad 10th generation. What are the exact terms of the iPad offer? How free is it? Or is it a cellular device that adds a new line or is it a WiFi only model? The agent kept saying unlimited data which made me wonder. Also it’s $40 a month and simultaneous $40 bill credit so the net is $0? And for 12 months. Plus a soft credit check? Can I get full details on this? I originally reached out because my internet speed was slower.

Okay. It would require a Xfinity mobile account. Which I told them many times I did not want. I asked it it was a WiFi model and they said yes. So they don’t know from one agent to the other what they are offering and then the credit check was the thing that had me more suspicious. They keep saying this would be a wireless account under my internet plan…..bottom line if you are going to offer free items, don’t try to loop us in to other brand offerings. And the fact they kept asking if I wanted to switch to a mobile account even though I said no repeatedly. If I am a valuable customer why need a credit check? Confusing as h*ll this whole experience. Save yourselves time and just say no. And in the end they say I’m sending you the new XB8 and iPad. I kept saying no……
