Internet PLANNED maintenance WITHOUT notice??

Xfinity app says internet offline for PLANNED maintenance.  Why would Xfinity not notify customers in advance for this????

Any enterprise CRM can send emails, txt msgs or mobile app notices to customers for this.  Then we could plan around the lost productivity.  This is ridiculous in today’s world, esp for a tech company.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_nwbxk8 Thank you for making us aware that you're currently experiencing a service interruption due to this planned maintenance work in your area. We actually have a proactive notification system that will text you whenever there's work being done that will potentially interrupt your services. You can learn more about this by visiting this link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/proactive-outage-notifications.

@XfinityRaul

i am subscribed to those comms, and no planned outage alert was sent in advance.  That’s what I’m saying.  It should have been.

I am sorry to hear that you did not receive any notification of the service issue prior to the issue occurring @user_nwbxk8. Sometimes there is planned maintenance that is scheduled that could end up running long our that could cause an additional service issue to pop up the following day. Planned maintenance is normally something that is scheduled when it will be the least amount of impact on business, but every so often that work needs more time.
