Is the upgrade to Yahoo required? If I decline the upgrade will comcast Xfinity still support my comcast email?

I've tried on different days to find the answer from the AI Assistants/chatbots but they don't know the answer so I go round and round with them. I would love a real person to ask this to but I am hoping you can provide the answer.

I would prefer remaining with comcast/xfinity. But want to be assured, and I'd like this in writing if possible, that my email account will remain supported by comcast/Xfinity.

Can you hel?

Hello @user_rf7z7c, thanks for taking the time to leave a post.  Sorry you’ve had such a difficult time getting a clear answer. I understand why you want written reassurance before making a decision about an email account you’ve used for years. The upgrade to Yahoo is completely optional and is not required at this time. If you choose not to migrate, you can continue using your Comcast.net email through Xfinity. The no-cost Yahoo option is simply an upgrade being offered to customers who would like a different platform with enhanced security, additional features, and mobile app access. I have also attached an article on upgrading your comcast.net email experience to Yahoo Mail. Let us know if this helps.

Interesting. I did the read that I can come back home to Comcast.net migration to Yahoo a couple of months back. What a massive mistake. Since Tuesday 9-8-26. I have been unable to access my email. I spoke with Yahoo representative on 9-9-26. He stated my browser (MS Edge) was outdated, and I would have to upgrade operating system from Windows 8.1 Corporate disdain on full display. Today I have visited the following websites, without even a small blimp. PNC Bank, American Express, Amazon, Fox News, Speedtest by Ookla, Weather Underground, eTrade, Intermountain HealthCare, Flight Tracker, & here now on Xfinity. I was pleased to read that Comcast.net is still active, and I wish to return ASAP. I rely on email to keep important data flowing. Please do not tell me that due to decision of

migration, I am unable to come back "home" to friendly waters. Bring me back home!! Thank you in advance.

Sincerely - [Edited: "Personal Information"]

Good afternoon user_50f16c. I definitely understand email is very important. I will be happy to assist you further with your concern. I do have a couple of questions first to better understand the situation. Are you experiencing issues with accessing your email directly through the Yahoo website, now? Or are you using a third-party application, like Mail for Apple, Mail for Android, Outlook, etc.)? Have you changed your password at all recently?
