Issue with internet service

Question

I know I am cutrently in an outage. But the issue is my router is dead now and has no status light. Of course due to the outage I cannot get through to anyone. At this point even if the service is resorted my router is dead and I still will be without service. Can I please get in contact with an actual human and not AI.

user_c79fzq Thank you for posting on our community forum so we can help you replace your modem that will no longer power on. Is it plugged directly into a power outlet on the wall or is it connected to a surge protector/power strip? We recommend plugging the Xfinity gateway into a wall outlet for the best performance.

Have you checked another power outlet to see if the modem powers up? Are your wall outlets controlled by a dimmer or a switch?
