keep getting texts to return my modem since I have a new one that I rented from you. Problem is the modem I was previously using was my own netgear nighthawk modem, not one rented from you .

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey there, skizzlelizzle, thanks for reachingo out through Xfinity Forums regarding the modem texts you have been receiving. I would be happy to take a look at your account and get to the bottom of this for you.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.

I have the same experience, i returned my equipment a month back in XFINITY store at Naperville, IL. Xfinity kept sending me messages that you will be charged, I called 5 or 6 times customer service and spent 4 to 5 hours but it was not resolved. I posted my issue in community messages here, an agent got in touch with me with direct messaging, i was assured that case is closed but today i got the message again that i am charged. This is a very bad experience, i am amazed to see so many messages on this forum about issues with returned equipment's and XFINITY charging them, this is so sad to see. I hoope others are not impacted by this bad experience.
