Large box installed in my front yard without consent

 Crews have been installing underground conduit along my street for several weeks. To my absolute horror, I came home from work today to find a massive, unsightly, obtrusive box in my front yard as tall as I am! No other lot seems to have this monstrosity. I was never informed that this was going to happen and strongly object to its placement without notification or consent. I want to speak to someone to discuss moving it. Who can I  call to get this taken care of?

I’m really sorry this wasn’t communicated to you ahead of time, I completely understand how that could be frustrating or concerning. The installation was completed in accordance with city guidelines and easement requirements, but your experience matters to us. 
Are you experiencing any issues with it?

Yes, there is an issue. It’s the only thing you see when pulling into my driveway, is too tall and random to disguise by literally anything and my yard maintenance will be hindered. I have an elderly man on a riding mower (my dad) cut the grass and he will not be able to do it any more in that area. I will need to purchase a weedwacker and push mower to maintain this and my elderly parent can not do it. Cutting the grass and helping around the house is what gives him purpose and a sense of contribution and this is taking that away from him. The property owners should have been consulted prior to this work being done, like FPL did before they placed their large service boxes!
