Live Agent

A 20 year customer of Xfinity, it is a real pain [Edited: "Language"] trying to speak to an actual agent. Not just today 6/25/2025 but in the past.

Gone is that day when calling customer support put a person "in touch with" a live agent near immediately.

Instead automated voice prompts too often do NOT provide a link to the question or issue a consumer has and today is another prime example.

I "simply" wanted to "activate" Peacock...that has been part of my service for over 6 months...6 months mind you that repeatedly I have been unable to accomplish.

My main TV is 50 feet from where information is stored for Xfinity billing or passwords. If I or anyone is trying to enjoy a relaxing evening scrolling thru movie choices, the "last thing" I or others need to do is to struggle with logging in. To include if they are solo with no kids, etc.

Yet this is exactly what I've been struggling with and again today when spotting an email note by Xfinity indicating I have YET to access Peacock sure enough I have now spent over 1 hour with AI technology or when I was finally able to speak to a live agent the reception was so freaking poor with others talking in the background that it was a "fail" and nothing was accomplished.

Twice now a call has come in from 888-266-2278 that has nothing but silence on the other end. A fail! Calling 800-266-2289 and 800-934-6489 was met with voice prompts and the only way I finally reached a live person was to select "billing" or "add a service". Otherwise a Fail!

For what I pay and for as long as I have had an account with Xfinity, the growing inconsistency offers nothing but mistrust for services rendered.

Hello hwkmn, appreciate you reaching out! Excited to help get this sorted out. To activate Peacock Premium through Xfinity, you'll need to visit the Xfinity website and log in with your primary Xfinity ID. You'll be prompted to either create a new Peacock account or sign in to an existing one, linking it to your Xfinity subscription.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
1. Access the Activation Page:
2. Activate Peacock:
  • Locate the Peacock Premium subscription in your list of services.
  • Click "Activate" next to Peacock Premium.

3. Link to Peacock Account:
  • You will be prompted to either sign in to an existing Peacock account or create a new one.
  • If you have an existing Peacock account, enter your email and password, then click "Sign In & Activate".
  • If you don't have an account, enter the email address you want to use for Peacock and click "Continue".
  • Create a password and provide any other necessary account details, then click "Activate".

4. Start Watching:
  • Once activated, you can access Peacock Premium content.
  • Click "Start Watching Peacock" to begin. He

This is true bogus information. Nothing but the run around. My monthly statement states I qualify for free Peacock until 12/2026 but the "activation" you aptly identify is a run around!

4 times I attempted to "activate", creating yet another password that altho gave me access to Peacock, immediately it stated I had not signed up r a plan. The "plan" is included in my billing as "free".

Now well over 2 hours on top of hours before in the past 7 months to try to log in, both online support and in-person support is useless for resolving the issue.

Instead of a "live" person to assist and walk this consumer thru, elevated blood pressure and contempt is shown over and over again.

Never was this difficult years ago.

I physically "drove" to the only Comcast/Xfinity store locally waiting 30 minutes to be seen. While there an even more frustrating time was spent but finally on my cell phone NOT my home TV I managed to log in. Once home? The same [Edited: "Language"] on my TV screen about downloading on my mobile device -or- computer the link: peacocktv.com/tv. A Code was provided so "off" I trotted to my computer 50 ft away to type in the link and "zero" was shown where to put the code!

Now 4 hours later and a trip to/from town, Peacock is NOT worth the effort nor is the scam by Xfinity to allow access to "free" movies when instead the term "upgrade" is done with you can access Peacock.

Not the dimmest bulb in the circuit Xfinity but there is not enough time left in my life to fight tedious, misrepresented services.

That plus Xfinity support on line is a "joke". Poor reception and no call back but 2 employees means this day and the future is disappointing at the least.
