modem locked @ 40 up/ Currently on 2000/250 up plan

I need to have my upstream speed uncapped so i am getting the 250 up stream I am paying for!

my current modem is MORE than capable.

Hey @user_160pb7! Thanks for reaching out to us on the Xfinity Forums! I apologize to hear that your upload is currently locked at 40 Mbps upload. Based on the modem model you provided, even though it's capable of higher speeds, it's currently not certified to receive the higher upload speeds at this time. You can see what modems are by having a look at the enhanced speed section of the compatible modem list. (You may have to put your address in for it to show the modems)

Right now, it looks like the following Netgear modems have been certified for the faster upload:

CBR750

CM2050V

CM2500

CM3000

Thats what I was afraid of! Thanks for the fast response, I'll pick this one up as it seems to fit the bill then.

You're welcome! I had to double-check to make sure that was on the list, and you should have no issues getting those upload speeds. However, if you find yourself still with the issue, please let us know so we can make sure we have the right bootfile sent to the S34 modem!
