moved out and need to transfer my xfinity account

Hi! I have seen other forums on how to do a change ownership request form. I don't see where I can do that or the direct message button one of them was referring to? I am moving out and transferring the xfinity service to my roommate. Please let me know what steps I need to follow so we can do it online. Thank you!

Direct messaging isn't allowed until an official employee asks you to do so; it's against the Forum Guidelines and the Acceptable Use Policy to send anyone an unrequested DM/PM.  Also note, if you do send one without being asked to do so, it could possibly be ignored.

Please post your issue in public in the proper forum so that it can be addressed either by other customers or by an Official Employee.

@XfinityAbel Hi! How do I contact an employee to get an email to change the account over? Thank you! I have called customer support and haven't gotten anything yet.

@user_a1vugf I'd love to help get the process started. Please send a direct message including your full name and service address, and we can get started anytime.

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or visit Xfinity Direct Messaging.
  3. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.
I am an Official Xfinity Employee.
Official Employees are from multiple teams within Xfinity: CARE, Product, Leadership.
We ask that you post publicly so people with similar questions may benefit from the conversation.
