Multiple emails and texts repeatedly received from xfinity new connections

I keep receiving texts and emails every time we leave the house or even go outside and come back in.  It's driving me crazy. These are both verizon samsung phones that we have had for about 2 yrs now and it just started doing this a month or 2 ago. We didn't change anything on verizon or xfinity and I tried th option on xfinty to forget device connection and then reconnect each of the phones but it doesnt stop the messages from coming. Also, everytime I get in my car, android auto has unpaired my verizon samsung from android auto and I cant use waze app. It's illegal to touch handheld phone while driving or stopped at headlight or even in a drive it.  Thank you. Hi there, @user_myuwdi! We are happy to help with the notifications you are seeing. The Xfinity app provides notifications for new device connections to your WiFi network. These alerts inform you when a new device joins your network for the first time, helping you monitor network activity. To manage these notifications, you can adjust your preferences in the app by going to Account, Account Settings, and then Notification settings. This link shows how to manage your Xfinity notifications in the Xfinity app, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-xfi-notification-center. Please let me know if that helps!

If you want to assign devices that are connected to your network to users this link shows how, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-xfi-manage-profiles

For your car and phone becoming unpaired, that would not be on our side of things. You would need to reach out to your mobile provider on that concern.

Thanks. I see how to stop all the network activity notifications and that will work. I dont understand why Xfinity thinks a new device is joining my home network when both phones that i get messages about have been on my home network for around 2 years. It doesnt make sense that they are new devices that I've should be notified about. Thank you.

No problem, @user_myuwdi! I understand where you're coming from. In most cases this occurs because of MAC address randomization, which is a privacy feature on many devices. From your first post, it looks like you have a Z Fold 6, which does include that feature. It makes it look like there is a new device connecting because the random MAC address it populates was not present on the network previously. Did you have any additional questions or concerns we can assist with?
