My iphone stopped receiving my xfinity email on April 1, 2025. I have had email on an iphone for many, many years without issue
I am so disappointed because my family has been using comcast for FOREVER since the 1970's. I tried everything suggested on the internet to reset my iphone and my email, etc to get my email back. I had to delete it for one fix and that deleted EVERYTHING FOR FOREVER (not able to undo that (pretty [Edited: "Language"]). Well I had given up until I went back online for one last try and I turned on access to third-party email programs. IT WORKED. Problem is that the internet also said that by doing this it will lower the security on my iphone, which upsets me. This had never happened to me or anyone in my family ever, ever, ever. I do not know what happened on April 1, 2025, but it was not for the better. Isn't there some other way to fix this mess ? There should be without putting people at risk for fraud since right now there is so much fraud everywhere it's shameful to everyone that lives in this country. People need to be honest and I would like to have an honest answer to my problem. Is that possible ? Please respond !

Open your email client (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird).
Navigate to the option to add a new account.
Enter your name, Comcast email address (e.g., username@comcast.net), and password.
Choose IMAP as the account type.
Configure the incoming mail server with:
Server Name: imap.comcast.net
Port: 993
Security: SSL/TLS
Username: Your Comcast email address
Password: Your Comcast email password
Configure the outgoing mail server with:
Server Name: smtp.comcast.net
Port: 587
Security: STARTTLS or SSL/TLS
Authentication: Yes, require authentication
Username: Your Comcast email address
Password: Your Comcast email password
Verify the settings and complete the setup process.
