Netgear CM3000: Requesting firmware rollback to last stable version. 6.01.04 causing instability.
I'm hoping a tech support person from Xfinity will see this and can help. I've been experiencing frequent slowness and complete disconnects with my Netgear CM3000 modem.
Based on my research, these issues appear to have started right when Xfinity pushed the 6.01.04 firmware update. From what I've found on this forum and elsewhere, 5.01.02 was the last stable release, and I'd like to request a rollback to that version. This is a widespread issue reported by many users and Xfinity should work with Netgear to resolve it by earliest.
I've already spent over two hours on this with support:
- First-line support said my signal was fine.
- Advanced Repair initially agreed, but after ~45 minutes reversed course, claimed there was a signal issue to my house, and insisted a technician visit would resolve everything.
- The technician found no signal issue and instead opened a ticket for the networking team to investigate further.
Given that on-site and phone diagnostics have already ruled out a signal problem, I'd appreciate it if a corporate digital care agent with provisioning access could review this and push the firmware rollback directly.
I'm a Platinum tier customer on Xfinity's highest internet plan. Hope to get quick resolution to the reported issue.
