Network upgrade

I got an email that there will be service disruptions while they upgrade the network in my neighborhood. What does this mean for me and when will it be available. My zip is 15133

user_2vcb0b Good morning! Thank you for reaching out to our Xfinity Community Forums Team. I'm happy to answer all your questions and concerns regarding the upgrade we are completing in your area. We try and complete the work within a day, but please keep in mind the timeframe could change. Once the upgrades are completed, you will have access to the upgraded speeds. Depending on the services you are subscribing to, we may need to manually update your services to ensure you are getting the graded services. Here is a great resource for checking the status, and additional information on what to expect. Please feel free to let me know if you have any follow-up questions I may answer for you.

I am currently subscribed to the 1300 download tier. Will my speed just be increased or will I need to go into my account and change it?

user_2vcb0b Excellent question! Your download speed will stay about the same, but your upload speed will increase to about 200 Mpbs. Are you currently using one of our modems, or your own? Usually, power cycling the modem will kick out the update once the upgrades have been completed.
