Phone Technical Support asked for me to fix my issue and we could have been seriously hurt

My TV and Internet went out after a lightning storm on Saturday. After trying some resets, I contacted Xfinity to have a technician come out and fix my issue. The soonest they could get out to my house was Wednesday afternoon. They offered no reimbursement for the outage and length of time of repair.  Yesterday (Sunday) , technical support called and asked for me to try to fix my issue by finding my amplifier outside. I have no idea what that is or anything about Xfinity wiring. So I go outside and lift by Xfinity data tube in my front yard while on the phone with Xfinity. The agent instructed me to do this while I was on the phone. When I lifted the tube, a giant hornets nest was inside the tube. I ran for my life and left the tube open. I notified Xfinity to have an emergency call out technician and they advised the earliest they would come out was on Tuesday. Now I still have no internet and now I have a giant exposed hornets nest next to a sidewalk people commonly walk near. Xfinity does not need to have their customers try to fix their equipment. I hope the come out soon and fix the problem. I am very worried someone will get stung by my house.
