Plan Change Issues

I used your site to change my plan and upgrade my internet speed. I received an order confirmation email as well as a modem reboot which I wrongly assumed would be part of the upgrade process. Instead of getting a boost in bandwidth, i lost 200 Mbps download and my upload stayed the same. I have been unable to get this resolved with your automated systems as they are effectively useless in performing any real troubleshooting steps.

I have attempted to "schedule" a phone call which led to a call 30 minutes before the scheduled time and led to no communication with a live agent.

It blows my mind that Xfinity make hundreds of billions of dollars and can't afford to employ real human being that provide real customer support.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hi there @user_slh8r8, Thanks for taking the time to post your experience to our Xfinity Community Forum. We are sorry to hear about the change in speed not being as expected when upgrading your plan, that is definitely a weird one.

If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

And how would I send your team a direct message?

@user_slh8r8 To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.
