Porting Comcast Business landline phone number over to Xfinity landline service

I am trying to port my Comcast Business phone number over to my Xfinity phone service and no one has been able to help me. I have been on the phone several times for several hours, being bounced around from department to department and no one does anything to help. I am very frustrated because when I recently signed up for Xfinity service, I explained that I wanted my number ported over. The rep assured me that this would not be a problem, but it has been nothing but a problem. I have wasted so much time on this issue without any resolution. Almost a week ago I tried chatting with an agent online to help me with this. He said that the number was ported and would be connected in a couple of days. Unfortunately, the result was the same. My phone number is still not ported over. I am at my wit's end over this. I don't know what else to do. The phone service agents and online agents have proven to be extremely incompetent as no one has been able to help me with this issue. I am very displeased and disappointed with my Xfinity service to this point. I'm posting here as a last effort to get help with porting my number over before I out right cancel my service. Is there anyone who can help me get this done or point me in the right direction to someone who can help??

user_vc9cg1 Thank you so much for stopping in for help with moving your phone number for your Comcast business account to your personal account. This can be done, but not as directly as a normal port, and I apologize that you have had to go through several layers of support to try and get the help you need. Since Comcast and Xfinity are the same company, a traditional port is not possible since the number is already active on the Xfinity network. I have seen customers work around this by porting to a temporary provider outside of the Comcast/Xfinity network and then porting back in to your personal account.
Without porting, we can see if there are other options to move the number. If you would like, just let me know.
