Problems with xfinity website

I have spent the better part of 3 hours attempting to update my payment method via the xfinity website.  It puts me in a continuous loop of verifying my identity via a code sent to my email.  I enter the code and the whole process restarts.  I attempted to use both the useless chat bot and even more useless virtual assistant on the phone to reach technical support, to no avail.  I need to know how to reach a rational human who will not attempt to redirect me to solutions I do not need.  How does one do this?

Hi there! Thank you so much for reaching out and we're sorry to hear you are having trouble with your payment. Have you also tried clearing cache and cookies or trying a different browser? We would also recommend trying it out through the Xfinity app!

To send a direct message: 

  • Make sure you are signed in here in the Xfinity Forum. Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message" icon (square chat icon in the upper right corner of your screen next to the bell icon)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

Trying to push people to download the app shouldn't stop them from using the website. The website doesn't function properly. No 2 step verification set up then after logging in it asks to complete the 2 step verification to process a payment. That's not supposed to happen. But I can go look at all the personal info without 2 step verification.
